(10-28-18) Sisters Jenny and Katy Seas led the Peebles girls cross country team to the 2018 OHSAA Cross Country State Finals.
Jenny (Senior) finished 3rd , while younger sister Katy (Freshman) finished 22nd (13th in team points) to clinch the fifth and final team spot for next week’s D III state cross country meet.
October has been a life-changing month for the two girls and and their nine brothers and sisters. Their mother, Lorna, lost her life in a tragic auto accident on her way to watch her daughters run a meet in Pickerington earlier this month, the crash included their younger brother Nick and their dad Rich.
Saturday had to be a day that brought back a lot of emotion for the two, as they returned back to Pickerington for the Regional final. Their mom and dad were both cross country runners in high school and the family is well known for following in their footsteps.
