(3-25-17) The Marion Local girls track team started the 2017 season out strong placing third in the Orange Division of the Lady Tiger Classique. The Flyers had 106 points, while Minster won the division with 195 points and Russia was second with a 106.
The Flyers picked up three first place finishes, the 4 X 200 meter relay, Junior Kylie Albers won the 300 meter High Hurdles and Sophomore Aubrey Thobe won the High Jump.
Marion Local showed good overall balance on the day, Aubrey Thobe added two thirds in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles, Natalie Rethman had a 2nd place finish in the 200 meter dash and a 3rd place finish in the 100 meter dash. Jessie Kramer had 2nd place finish in the high jump and and a 3rd in the 400 meter dash. Kelsey Broering added a 4th place finish in the 1,600 meter run. Two Flyer relays helped on the day with a 2nd place finish in the 4 X 100 and a 3rd in the 4 X 400 relay.
St. Henry competed in the Black Division won by Versailles with 121 points, the Redskins finished in 9th place with 32 points.
St. Henry’s best finish was Alexis Heath with a 2nd place finish in the 800 meter run.
