A crash Friday morning at 8:55am in Dover Township at the intersection of County Road M and County Road 14 has claimed the life of 30 year old Timothy (TJ) Rupp. Rupp was the Athletic Director at Evergreen High School in Metamora.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a grey Chevrolet Mailbu driven by Rupp, 30, was heading northbound on County Round 14, when a GMC C7500 driven by 36-year-old Hans Burkholder, who was hauling propane, failed to stop at a stop sign, the two vehicle collided. Both vehicles went of the road and the GMC overturned.
Burkholder was not injured in the crash, both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed yet.
