
(9-12-17) Week one stats, after three games, from the the 2017 High School football season in Mercer County.
Two players show up in three offensive categories, Celina’s Kole Murlin, scoring (3rd), rushing (7th) and receiving (7th) and Parkway’s Caden May shows up in three offensive categories, scoring (6th), rushing (6th) and receiving (5th).
St. Henry’s Ryan Luttmer leads the county in scoring with 66 points, 8 TDs, 15 extra points and 1 field goal. Luttmer has also rushed for 299 yards (4th) in three games.
No surprise that Ft. Recovery’s Will Homan is the county’s leading rusher with 533 yards on 79 carries and 9 TDs.
Coldwater’s Ben Wenning is the leading receiver in the county with 12 catches for 205 yards and 2 TDs. Wenning’s QB Sam Broering, in his first season leading the Cavs is 36 of 66 for 448 yards.


Ft. Recovery’s Ethan Schoen has been busy on defense leading the county with 55 total tackles.
St. Henry’s defense has shown they can play to a top level, they lead in three categories – Tyler Sclarman leads the county in sacks with 5, teammate Sam Lefeld has 4 interceptions and Parker Link has 3 fumble recoveries.
