(10-18-17) Versailles Athletic Director Doug Giere has announced that he will be stepping down from his position as Athletic Director at the end of current school year.

I am stepping down as Athletic Director at the end of the 2017-2018 school year. I plan to go back to teaching full-time. The decision will allow me to spend more time with my family. I thank everyone in the Versailles School District and Community for their support during my four year tenure.

After his graduation he was a math teacher at Anthony Wayne Local Schools (Aug 2009 – Jun 2012),  he came to Versailles in 2012 as a math teacher and became the AD in 2014. Giere graduated from Marion Local in 2004 and the University of Toledo in 2009.
