Lachey’s younger brother Luke (6’6 185 Sophomore) was named to the first team as a receiver.
The two Lachey’s start on both sides of the football, James was the Bobcats’ QB/TE on offense and Luke is a defensive back.
When the Bobcats starting QB was injured in early October James took over at QB and it paid off , in a 28-0 win over Logan Elm 28-0 in the final home game of the season, James threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to Luke.
James told This Week Sports about the play:
“You could see on film that he didn’t think I could air it out that far, and I let it loose and you could see him running hard to get underneath it. He made a great catch and took off. My parents loved it. I had like 30-some relatives there in the middle of the stands. They were freaking out.”
Now you see why Dad Jim is grinning from ear to ear.
