(5-11-18) A long-standing high school football rivalry in Ohio will come to an end. The Sidney and St. Marys series will end starting in 2020, the victim of the Yellowjackets joining a revived Miami Valley League. The new league, which will start in the fall of 2019, will switch to a 9 game conference schedule in 2020. That will leave Sidney with only one non-conference game on its schedule in the future, Bellefontaine will remain as that only game.
That means St. Marys will need to find a new season opener opponent in 2020.
