
(6-8-18) – Former Coldwater Cavalier Malave Bettinger (1B) announced on Twitter that he has committed to play at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the Chargers are an NCAA D II member.

This past season Bettinger helped Sinclair Community College make it to the NJCAA D II World Series, he had 9 homeruns, 52 RBIs and had a .308 batting average.
This will be the third college team that Bettinger has played for, his Freshman season he played at D I Toledo, transferred to Sinclair this past season and will now play for Alabama-Huntsville starting in the fall.
Bettinger was a member of the Grand Lake Mariners in 2017.
While at Coldwater he was a four time 1st team member of the Midwest Athletic Conference.
