(9-1-18) Last night the two former Celina football coaches coaching out of state went 1-1.

In North Carolina, Jared Rolfes continues to turn heads as the Page Pirates scored 21 2nd half points, after being tied at half-time 7-7 in a 28-7 win over highly regarded Dudley. Page wide receiver Cody King had a big night with 3 catches for 72 yards and 2 TDs, plus he threw a 25 yard TD pass to Ford Moser for a third TD.

Rolfes talked to greensboro.com about King after the game:

“Cody’s a stud. He’s got a personality that is hard not to like even when he does things you don’t like, because he’s such a great kid. “He’s a player. He can flat-out ball.”

Page (3-0) will play this coming Friday when they take on Eastern Guilford, who is 3-0 on the season, after beating Grimsley 30-14 last night.

In Arizona, Mike Fell and his Mountain View (1-2)  Toros dropped its second game in a row losing to Mountain Pointe 45-18.

The Toros fell behind at half 25-0 and could not recover from that.

Next week the Toros will play Queen Creek (2-1) on the road, last week the Bulldogs beat Cesar Chavez 30-21.
