(9-4-18) The St. Henry Redskins have opened the 2018 football season with a bang. Their two wins over teams teams south of Mercer County, Covington and Eaton, have been very impressive.
St. Henry beat Covington 22-0 in the season opener and then clobbered Eaton last Friday 62-0 setting numerous school records. That doesn’t even include the fact that they had two defensive shutouts and outscored their first two opponents 84-0.
According to a tweet (see above) by St. Henry AD seven records were topped in the contest.
New Records Set vs Eaton
- 9 TDs
- 48 points in a half
- 62 point margin
- 62 points in a game
- -1 yard rushing yards allowed
- 8 XP kicks
- 2 Punt Returns for TDs
This week the Redskins start Midwest Athletic Conference play when they hos Delphos St. John’s. The Blue Jays enter game with a 1-1 record, starting the season with a 50-13 win over Toledo Woodward and losing to LCC last week 20-10.
