(1-9-20) After a tumultuous 0-10 season in 2019, Elida will try to bounce back with the announcement today of Kyle Harmon being named the Bulldogs new head football coach.

Harmon is quite familiar with the Western Buckeye League as he spent the last two seasons as the pass/outside run game coordinator at Wapakoneta. He has also been the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Lima Senior and was an assistant coach at Elida from 2005 through 2015, including a 2-0 stint as interim head coach during the 2015 season.

Harmon will replace interim head coach Dan Lattimore, who coached the final seven games of the season. Lattimore stepped in for Bill Speller who resigned on September 26th. after being placed on administrative leave September 16th amid allegations of misconduct after a lost to Bath from several football players.

Harmon is employed at Elida and is a health and physical education teacher at the high school.
