Bath, Perry Name New Boys Basketball Coaches

(6-2-23) This past week two new head boys basketball coaches have been name, Bath and Perry.

Pending board approval, the Bath High School athletic department is excited to announce the appointment of Kirk Looser as the new head varsity boys basketball coach.

Bath hired Kirk Looser at its last Board of Education meeting, Looser replaces Sean Powell who was recently hired to take over the Lima Central Catholic boys program. Powell left Bath after just 2 seasons, where he was 12-34 overall and 3-15 in the Western Buckeye League.

• Bath Boys Basketball Coach Headed To LCC

This will be Looser’s first head coaching job after coaching JV teams and as a varisty assistant over the past 20 years at Delphos Jefferson, Bath and Wapakoneta.

Perry is set to name Thomas Nolte as the new boys basketball coach for the Commodores. This will be his first varsity head job after coaching JV teams at Perry and most recently at Bath.

Thomas Nolte will be the next Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at @PerryCommodores, pending BOE approval June 21. He was the JV coach at Perry under former HC Matt Tabler and then spent the last 2 seasons as JV Coach at Bath.

Nolte replaces Clay Tucker who coached Perry for the last two seasons and has taken a position as special assistant for player development at Southern Utah. Tucker’s record last season was 11-13 and 6-1 in the Northwest Central Conference (NWCC), in his first season with the Commodores went 19-6 and 7-0 with a NWCC title
