(6-2-23) Hopewell-Loudon scored early and often to advance to the D IV Softball state title game tomorrow after a 9-1 semifinal win over Parkway.

The Chieftians after taking a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning, would score 5 more runs in the 2nd inning and never looked back.

H-L was led by Sidney Brickner (RF) who went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs, Malagon (SS) went 3 for 3, scored 2 runs, 2 RBIs and Beidelschies (P) was 3 for 4 and had an RBI. Isabelle Beidelschies picked up the win in the circle giving up just 5 hits, 1 earned run, struck out 5 and walked 4.

Parkway was led by Stephenson who had a triple and the lone RBI.

The Chieftians will play in the championship game tomorrow against Strasburg-Franklin who beat Gibsonburg 3-1 in the 2nd semifinal game today.
