(6-9-23) The first of the two night series of the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star basketball game were in Owensboro, Kentucky tonight.
Kentucky would sweep the Hoosiers in both games.
In the boys game…Kentucky saw a 20 point lead evaporate late in the 2nd half thanks to a late 17 point run by the Hoosiers and lose the lead for a short time.
But the kids from the Bluegrass state regained their composure and pick-up the come from behind win 94-90 win.
Teagan Moore led with Kentucky with 31 points, Kenyon Goodin added 14 points. Reece Potter added 9 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
Indiana’s Markus Burton had a game high 33 points, JaQualon Roberts had 16 points and 9 rebounds and Sheridan Sharp had 11points.

In the girls game…Kentucky picked up the win over Indiana 72-62.
Miss Kentucky Haven Ford led the way with a double-double scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 steals.
Ford, who plays shortstop on the softball team, also played in this morning’s State girls Softball Final 4 for Rowan County, losing to the nation’s 2nd ranked team, Ballard 4-1.
Whitney Lind had her own double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, Love Mays added 14 points and 4 rebounds.
Miss Indiana Laila Hull led her team with a double-double, including a game high 22 points and 12 rebounds.
