(6-28-23) Two schools located in the Stateline area who are independents in football…Lima Central Catholic and Ft. Loramie. LCC is an independent in all sports, while Ft. Loramie just in football. Both schools recently contacted the Northwest Conference (NWC) to fill the two spots in the conference. So far the response from the NWC is ‘crickets‘.

Both schools are D VII, Ft. Loramie is in Region 28, while LCC is in Region 26.

Ft. Loramie’s schedule starts the season out against two MAC members..Minster and Versailles. Game three is against Three Rivers Conference member Covington. Those three games give the Redskins some nice rivalry type games.

They end the season against the other independent LCC.

Ft. Loramie has 5 home and 5 away games. They play 5 D VII schools, 2 D VI schools…plus one game against a D V, D III and D II schools.

What ifDelphos St. John’s does decide to join the NWC? With Anna being a football only member in the MAC and a member of the Shelby County League the same league as Ft. Loramie….Bingo, Bango, Bingo… two county rivals playing on a Friday night that would be gold.

Thanks to www.joeeitel.com for the schedules

LCC opens the season against Western Buckeye League member Shawnee, followed by a match-up with one of their biggest rivals in many sports Delphos St. St. John’s. Four of the T-Birds six games are against Catholic Schools.

LCC has 6 home games and 4 away games. 5 D VII game, 1 D VI game, 1 D V game, 2 D IV games and 1 D III game .

One common opponent for both schools is Lucas, a football independent. Same issies, same problems facing LCC and Ft. Loramie.
