(7-19-23) At this month’s Jay Schools Board of Education meeting updates were given on athletic facilities upgrades.

One of the biggest upgrades will be the addition of a $1.25 million turf field that would replace the current grass field at the stadium, which will be used for soccer, football and available for physical education classes, band practice and other related activities.

The $6.1 million total capital improvement project was approved by the board in January. Current plans call for construction to be completed by July 24, 2024.
