(8-24-23) Once again in 2023 the Darke County Fair featured some of the best Ohio County Fair Harness Racing in the state. Last night in Greenville was no exception as World Record Holder Charlie May (gelding) in a pacing track record of 1:50 won the Gene Riegle Invitational.

The final time of 1:50 easily broke the previous track mark of 1:51.4 set by Swing City in the 2017 Riegle Memorial.

Brett Miller drove the winner for owner Don Tiger…Miller now stands at 9,998 career victories.

Charlie May’s world record time of 1:47.1 victory in this year’s William R. Haughton Memorial established a new lifetime mark. Charlie May has 26 career wins in 57 starts and has lifetime earnings of $1,972,977.
