Two More IIC Members Make The Playoffs…One On The ‘Bubble’

(10-14 -23) Week 8 of the 2023 Illinois high school football season is in the books. It was a tough week for the Illinois Independent Conference (IIC) members…going 3-4 in non-conference games.

Lots of good news…two more IIC members, Mater Dei and Riverside-Brookfield, receive playoff births joining Althoff Catholic. Collinsville, who picked up their 5th win, are now playoff eligible. Red Hill, who stands at 4-4 on the season, needs to beat Carlyle (4-4) to be playoff eligible.

Why The SSN’s Illinois Independent Conference????

To add a little extra excitement for the Illinois high school football teams playing an independent schedule. It is tough being an independent in Illinois.

All 12 Illinois independent high schools are included, Won-Lost records, weekly scores, highlights, all-independent team will be named at the end of the year. The IIC is not an actual conference but it hopes to provided the benefit of one.

This is just a way for SSN to promote these student-athletes. SSN hopes that all the schools will enjoy this during the season.
