(10-23-23) Friday night was Senior Night for Niles football, the Vikings were hosting undefeated Paw Paw. Julian (Ju Ju) Means-Flewellen had himself a night with 3 TDs (87, 41 and 46 yards) and rushing for 251 yards in a 56-18 win and a Wolverine Conference Championship…the first for the Vikings since 2001.
For Means-Flewellen he was able to share his Senior Night moment with his father Jason and mother Jennifer Flewellen. Jennifer, who was in a serious car crash in September 2017, woke up from her coma in August 2022 after spending almost five years in the coma.
For Ju Ju his performance, the win and the conference title will be long remembered…but having his mom back is very special and far more important. It really is a ‘miracle story‘…

An added bonus for Means-Flewellen was tonight’s drawing for the MHSAA Football Playoffs…the Vikings (8-1) will square off against Vicksburg (4-5) in D IV in Region 2 District 1 first-round playoff game. A game that his mom will be able to see!
Did you know…it really is a miracle

NILES, Mich. — The northbound lanes of M139 (W. Chicago Road) were shut down west of Meadow Drive because of a vehicle crash Monday morning.
