(11-16-23) Last night the St Henry Board of Education held its November meeting and the board accepted the resignation of football coach Brad Luthman.

From the Board agenda–

Brad Luthman

The following is a statement from Coach Brad Luthman:

“It was an honor and privilege to be the head coach of such a proud and tradition rich program.  It is in the best interest of the program to reset and refresh the ideas coming from the head coaching position.  I am thankful for the people met and memories made in the St. Henry Football Program over the past eleven years.  I have great gratitude and am indebted to my wife and children, my extended family, my assistant coaches and their families, and to the players and their families for all the sacrifices it takes to strive for success in high school football.  I look forward to the community and program aligning and striving together towards a return to sustained success.  I wish nothing but great things for the future of St. Henry Football.”

Luthman was suspended for the first game of the season, which was a win over WBL power St. Marys, and would go 3-7 for the season and qualified for the playoffs. The Redskins would win their first two playoff games before losing to Ansonia 20-13 to end the season at 5-8.
