(11-17-23) The second Mercer County high school football coach to resign this week took place last night in a Parkway School Board of Education special meeting accepting the resignation of first year head coach Jake Circle.
Circle whose tenure was very short steps down after a tumultuous first season.
RELATED:
Circle had been on unpaid leave since he was arrested in late October for OVI. Besides being the head coach Circle was also a teacher’s aide and the weight room coordinator. The board filled the two empty spots with Alisha Bruns as and aide and Ed Kuhn as the wight room coordinator.
The BOE has also posted the head football coaching position.
Parkway football recently has had a tough stretch, but thanks to the OHSAA expanding the number of teams who qualify for a playoff spot the Panthers have qualified the last two seasons.
