(1-18-24) The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) made the following statement on the recent incident that took place at the Eldorado Boys Basketball Tournament in December.
IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson:
“The administration at Eldorado High School did a thorough job of investigating and addressing the incident that occurred during their varsity boys basketball contest against Hamilton County High School on December 28, 2023. The IHSA fully accepts their self-imposed plan of action and will impose no additional sanctions to the school or team members.”
Eldorado has played four games since the incident and has lost all four, those games were played after all the coaches were fired and a report that four of the five Seniors had quit the team.
