
(1-19-24) Cory-Rawson student Connor Sons (16) was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in late December.
The tumor which is benign, needed to be removed and could cause major medical issues if not taken dealt with.
The first surgery took place at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus on January 3rd, but after 3 hours the doctors realized that they would be unable to remove any of the tumor without causing major damage to his vision.
Doctors later made the decision that they would good through his nose and they were able to remove up to 90% of the tumor.
The rest will be removed by radiation and treatment will be for 5 days a week for 6 weeks.
