(2-4-24) Celina Girls Bowling traveled to HP Lanes in Columbus for the Wildcat Baker Brawl on Saturday.

Celina Girls Bowling

The qualifying round consisted of 16 baker games and then the field of 22 was cut to 8 for best 2 out of 3 games bracket play.

Qualifying Round

After a slow start during games 1 and 2 in the opening round, Celina found their groove and ended up qualifying second. Technically we tied for first during the qualifying round, but Triway had the highest baker game so the tiebreaker went to them.

After the break…in the Baker games Celina was paired with Marysville and won 2 games to none. In the semifinals Celina was matched up against Miami Trace who knocked Celina out of last week’s tournament. The Bulldogs took the first game and Miami Trace took game 2, the Bulldogs would win game 3 to earn a place in the finals against Wayne.

Playoff Round

Despite Wayne’s best efforts and then some, Celina won games 1 and 3 to win the tournament… 7 hours after it had started.
