(2-13-24) Shawnee didn’t have to look to far for a new head football coach…they will be hiring current Waynesfield-Goshen coach Shane Wireman.
Wireman who is a teacher at Waynesfield-Goshen has been the Tiger Head Coach since he was named in January of 2016. Wireman, a 2007 graduate of Allen East, was an Honorable Mention All-Ohio defensive lineman for the Mustangs and has been an assistant coach at both his alma mater and at Waynesfield-Goshen. The Tigers under Wireman just completed two 10-0 regular seasons, going 1-2 in the playoffs.
Wireman replaces Mike Lewis who was hired in June of last year and resigned in November after the season had ended, the Indians went 0-10 on the season
