Pecatonica…First Sectional Title Championship In School History…A 100 Years In The Making

(3-2-24) Pecatonica has played boys high school basketball for over 100 years. Last night the Indians won their first Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Sectional Championship in school history. Pecatonica (31-5) did that when they beat Eastland (26-10) 60-50.

Monday night they will play in their first ever 1A Super-Sectional on the campus of Northern Illinois taking on Aurora Christian…with a chance to move on to the State Final Four at the State Farm Center in Champaign.

Aurora Christian defeated Pecatonica, 57-54 in overtime, on December 30th at the State Farm Classic…in that game the Eagles trailed the Indians 42-21 at halftime.
