Organized by a dedicated group of past Lady Panther Athletes, a special event is being planned for all Parkway Lady Athletes to celebrate 50 years of girls competing in sports including Parkway and Mendon-Union teams. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend this event.

The date is set for Sunday, September 29, 2024 and begins at the Parkway High School Commons at 12 noon with a BBQ Dinner (pre-sale only tickets coming soon) to benefit the Parkway Volleyball Team. A reception follows with Keynote speaker, 1978 alumna athlete Colleen Wood O’Steen. The group will be in the Homecoming Parade and watch the Parkway Juniors and Seniors compete in a Powder Puff Football game as well.
For now the organizers ask that you SAVE THE DATE for Sunday, September 29, 2024, then go to their Parkway High School and Mendon Union Girls 50th Anniversary Information Sheet page link https://zfrmz.com/tpabrnPAiwDjd7gGWygk, to add your athletic and contact info if you were or are an athlete, coach, statistician, manager and/or trainer 1974-2024. Historic details: President Richard Nixon signed the landmark Title IX Civil Rights Law into existence on June 23, 1972. It was part of the Federal Education Amendment, and among other treasures, ushered in the era of schools’ requirements for the first inter-scholastic teams for GIRLS. Mendon and Parkway were in the Midwest Athletic Conference, arguably the toughest league in the State of Ohio.
