(6-22-24) Marion Local (Ohio) will kick-off the 2024 season with 48 consecutive wins, the longest streak in America.

The Flyers will travel to Southern Indiana in week 1 to take on Linton-Stockton (212 miles away and a 3 hr 40 minute trip) who finished last season with a 10-2 record losing to Southmont 36-34 in OT in the Sectional Final. The Miners entered the playoffs as the #1 2A team in Indiana.

Four other schools have won 41 or more consecutive games entering the 2024 season. Indianapolis Lutheran has won three consecutive 1A state titles and has a 43 game consecutive winning streak after beating Adams Central 35-28 in the state title game. The Saints will open the season hosting Christel House at Manual who went 3-6 last season.

Garden City (NY) has 43 consecutive wins, while Pelham (NH) and Tioga (NY) both have 41 consecutive wins.
