Related- (5-6-22) — Liberty-Benton Set To Leave Blanchard Valley Conference
The district has been actively searching for a new athletics home since the spring/summer of 2022. There are a limited number of conferences in northwest Ohio that would meet our needs athletically and be a good fit for Liberty-Benton. In order for LB to find a new home in one of these conferences, a conference would need to have room for us either by expanding, or through some form of internal movement within their conference that would make room for LB to join. We have remained in communication with the conferences where we feel we would best fit in and are hopeful that something will occur that would provide LB the opportunity to migrate to a new athletics home. Liberty-Benton has much to offer as we have a fantastic fan base that travels very well. This would be of great benefit to the host schools when we compete away from home and LB can offer excellent athletic facilities to visiting schools and crowds when we are the host of athletic events. We remain hopeful that we will find a new athletics home soon.
