(8-29-24) This morning a T’X’itter posting by Anderson County (Ky) AD about a situation at a recent soccer match that caused concern with ‘racially insensitive remarks‘.

Anderson County AD Corey Sayre replied to a SSN email on the situation–

Hello, I purposely did not mention the team name. The investigation for both schools was done in good faith, and as you read, the decisions made were done with the intent to keep out poorly behaving fans and teaching an important lesson for kids. I do not want to involve the names of any of the students because they do not need that pressure, beyond the fact that they are minors. As for the school, the AD has worked to keep the unruly fans out, and the coach punished the student for his remarks. At ACHS we made this post so all fans understood that we will stand up for our students and that we have the highest expectation for our fans and community. While I understand that there is interest in this, I think the statement above is what I feel comfortable relaying at the moment.
