(1-13-25) In a unanimous vote the Vincennes Community School Corporation made the decision at its Monday board of school trustees meeting to apply for admittance for Vincennes Lincoln to the Western Indiana Athletic Conference (WIC) and to leave the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference (SIAC) .

There is a $10,000 buyout to leave the SIAC.

The SIAC would have nine members remaining after Vincennes leaves: Bosse, Castle, Central, Harrison, Jasper, Mater Dei, Memorial, North and Reitz

The WIC is currently in multiple changes and at the present time is comprised of Brown County, Cloverdale, Edgewood, Northview, Owen Valley, South Putnam, Sullivan and West Vigo. Three schools (Greencastle, Cascade and North Putnam) are joining the Indiana Crossroads Conference next year. Indian Creek is also leaving after this school year to join a new six-team league with Beech Grove, Monrovia, Speedway, Tri-West and Triton Central.. Brown County and Cloverdale (will be an independent) are leaving in football only.
