(2-15-25) Simon Kenton celebrated Valentine’s Day with a HUGE win in Kentucky Girls Highs School Basketball.
It took Simon Kenton one-overtime to beat four-time defending Kentucky state champion Sacred Heart, 75-70…the Valkyries had won 92 straight games against in-state competition, their last loss coming in double overtime to Mercy Academy on Feb. 13, 2022.
Sacred Heart has lost two games this season to out-of-state oppentents…Lawrence Central (69-49) out of Indiana and American Heritage (48-47) out of Florida.

Simon Kenton played just five girls the entire game.
The Valkyries will play again theis afternoon taking on Holy Cross and will try and recover from last night’s loss and star a new streak.
