Connor was a golf team member and junior baseball player for Rogers High School.

The McCaffety family had just left a high school golf tournament in Brenham and they were on their way to Connor’s home baseball game at Rogers High School when the crash happened.

Superintendent of Rogers Independent School District Duana Brashear told the Telegram

“Connor was your typical small town kid, good at everything, great personality, and big heart.”

Multiple vehicles, including the McCaffetys were stopped at a flagger’s signal and that is when an 18-wheeler failed to control their speed and collided with the vehicles.

Surviving is Connor’s 14-year-old sister Kelsey… who was not in the vehicle in the crash. Kelsey a freshman and varsity softball player, was playing in a softball game at Rogers High School at the time of the crash.
