Coldwater Athletic Department Release

(4-2-25) Pending Board of Education approval on April 15th, Will Hoskins will be named the next head boys basketball coach at Coldwater High School. Coach Hoskins has been the Varsity Assistant Coach to Coach Nick Fisher for the past couple of seasons helping the Cavaliers to a record of 33-14. Prior to coming to Coldwater, Coach Hoskins coached basketball at various levels at New Bremen, Trotwood-Madison, and Fairborn. Coach Hoskins has also coached Baseball, Track, and Football previously at various levels as well. Coach Hoskins graduated from Fairborn High School and received his Bachelor degree from Wright State University and Masters from Ohio University. He is currently the Health Teacher at Coldwater Schools.
Through the interview process, Coach Hoskins displayed his passion for the game of basketball and is a strong supporter of all Cavalier student/athletes and programs which was a large factor in the decision to bring him on board. He serves as a football announcer for the varsity games, attends almost all Coldwater activities, and is willing to do anything for Coldwater Schools and the community. He has a strong understanding of the game and will work hard to bring the Coldwater Basketball program to a high level. Coach Hoskins, similar to Coach Fisher, is a coach that the players want to play for.
We would like to welcome (pending BOE approval) Coach Hoskins, his wife Tara, and their 2 children to the Cavalier Athletic Department and to lead the Boys Basketball program. We look forward to him working with our student/athletes.
