(4-10-25) It was announced today that Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South will join the Sagamore Conference in high school athletics starting in the 2026-27 seasons.
Both schools have competed in Conference Indiana since 2013.
The schools’ addition will expand the Sagamore to six members, joining current members Lebanon, Danville, Harrison and McCutcheon.
The Sagamore Athletic Conference was established in 1968, featuring schools central Indiana .
As the expanded conference alignment is prepared to take effect at the start of the 2026-2027 school year, scheduling and other logistical details will be finalized in the coming months.

Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South were aligned with the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference from 1997 through 2013, before joining Conference Indiana
Among the Sagamore Conference teams, Danville and Lebanon are the only returning members after five members left in mass, while Harrison and McCutcheon, who were voted out of the North Central Conference, announced in 2024 their plans to join the conference for the 2025-26 academic year. Tri-West High School will compete for one final year as part of the Sagamore Conference before departing for the Hoosier Legends Conference.
Members of Conference Indiana include Columbus North, Bloomington South and Southport. Bloomington North recently announced they will join the Mid-State Conference beginning in the 2026-27 school year.
