(6-12-25) Minster hung on this afternoon in Canton to beat Russia 5-3 in the 2025 D VII State Baseball Semifinal game.
Heading into the top of the 7th the Wildcats had a 3-1 lead…they would add two important runs in the inning. The Raiders would need four to tie and 5 to win…they gave a good effort scoring two runs before a final K from Minster’s ace Louis Magato secure the win.
Magato had a complete game win striking out 12, walking 3, giving up 6 hits and all 3 runs were earned.
The Wildcats (25-6) will face Newark Catholic (21-9) in the first ever D7 State Final on Saturday morning at 10 am at Canal Park.
