(8-27-25) The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Board of Directors met for its regularly scheduled meeting at Illinois State University on Monday, August 25, 2025.
On item from the meeting that might ‘raise some eyebrows‘…
Marmion Academy, a college-prep high school in the Fox Valley, has announced it will implement a hybrid co-ed model after more than 93 years as single-sex, all-boys school. The announcement followed a November 16th vote by the Marmion Abbey chapter of monks to approve the planning and implementation of a co-ed hybrid model and will accept female students for the 2026-2027 academic year.
On Monday the Board approved a recommendation to waive the transfer eligibility rules for female students transferring to Marmion Academy in Aurora for the 2026-27 school year as the school transitions from an all-male enrollment to a coed student body.
