(9-15-2) Celina Sharks Swim and Dive Team is proud of the completion of our first successful season of rebuilding and growth at the Bryson Pool. We had a total of 106 swimmers and/or divers this season!

Our diving coach was Sara Rolfes and we had a total of 25 divers this season and we sent an average of 11 divers to each meet. The Sharks Dive Team participated in 5 regular season meets and Dive Champs. Some individual swimmers also participated in RIP Fest in St. Henry. Our top divers in each age group are: 8 & Under Girls – Gabriella Gray, 9-10 Girls – Taya Monroe, 9-10 Boys – Kesh Eberle, 11-12 Girls – Kayde Eberle, 13-14 Girls – Spencer Murlin, 15-18 Girls – Haley Kizer, and 15-18 Boys – Owen Colson.
The Mini Sharks, led by Larissa Albert and Lisa Brunswick, also had a successful season! Each and every one of the 46 Mini’s increased their swim knowledge and skills. Several even reached their goal of swimming all the way across the length of the pool unassisted! Best of all, we all had fun, especially at our Mini Meet and last practice. We are also thankful for our teen helpers for their time, talents and energy this summer! We can’t wait for next season to continue building our swim skills and confidence!
We had 51 youth on our Swim Team this year. Our swim team participated in 6 swim meets and also A and B Champs. Below our record setters for the Celina Sharks this year. Our head coach was Dawn Schwieterman and our other amazing coaches included Melissa Barnett, Candice Watson, and Alicia Welker.

Although we didn’t “win” any meets this year, our youth grew in their skills, confidence, and endurance. They created summer memories that will last a lifetime and for that, we are extremely grateful! We also hosted two mini meets and one of them included fun relays with kids and adults (parents and coaches) of all ages. We participated in the Celina Lake Fest Parade with the legendary “Big Bob,” and we ended our season with an end of the year banquet and pool party.
