(9-27-25) Every week there continues to be high school football teams kicking field goals, some would say anything over 30 yards is a success story. But just this weekend they included FGs from over 50 yards.

The snapper, the holder, the offensive line and the kicker all need to be successful on the same play…poetry in motion.

Many times in high school football special teams can be the difference in a win or a loss.

Win Streak Reaches #70…Marion’s Second Half Comeback Thwarts Versailles’ Upset Bid

Last night Marion Local’s national 70 consecutive game winning streak almost ended…the difference was a missed extra point by Versailles after scoring the first TD of the game. The next two TD’s by the Tigers were dictated by that missed kick, which included a failed 2pt conversion attempt. The Flyers would score late and win 20-19. Special teams always impact a game.
