(10-20-25) St. Marys will hire veteran coach Tim Barga to run the Roughriders boys basketball program this season. The hire comes after the sudden dismissal of Coach Jordan Blackburn.

Barga was the varsity girls’ basketball coach at Franklin Monroe last season where he picked up his 600th career coaching win when the Jets beat Bradford 44-38 in the opening round of the 2025 OHSAA D VII Girls Basketball Tournament.
His coaching career includes 433 games with the Versailles girls team. During his career he has coached at Fairlawn, Russia, Yellow Springs and Franklin Monroe where he has 526 total wins as a varsity girls basketball coach.
The 526 wins as girls’ basketball coach places Barga at #20 all-time in the OHSAA State Record book.

Jordan Blackburn (44) was indicted by an Auglaize County grand jury on two counts of selling dangerous drugs. He pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment Monday (10-20-25) and was released on bond.
