(11-2-25) Below are results of the IBCA girls’ basketball preseason poll for the 2025-26 season.

The IBCA poll is a “non-class” poll, where teams are voted to a Top 20 regardless of school classification.

Homestead picked up 11 1st place votes, #2 Lawrence Central had 7 1st place votes…#3 Warsaw had 2, #4 Pike and #5 Hamilton Southeastern both had 1.

Homestead opens its season on Tuesday at Ft. Wayne Wayne.

There are 22 panelists who vote for the poll — one voter each from the 16 regionals and six at-large voters (two each from IHSAA Districts 1, 2 and 3), including committee chairman Doug Springer of Northridge as a District 1 at-large voter.

    Other committee panelists include Kristi Ulrich of Penn, Kelsey Steele of Westfield, Curt Benge of Plainfield and Tyler Choate of Evansville North in Class 4A; Eric Kundich of Highland, Eric Thornton of Norwell, Danielle Cardinal of Guerin Catholic and Adam Dennis of Madison in Class 3A; Tony Scheub of Andrean, Jaidlin Bradshaw of Sheridan, Brian Gardner of South Putnam and Jared Petersen of Austin in Class 2A; and Katie Collignon of Marquette Catholic, Brock Morrison of Monroe Central, Jason West of Southwestern (Shelby) and Lacey Higgins of Barr-Reeve in Class A.

The at-large committee members are Springer and Rod Parker of Homestead in District 1, Stacy Mitchell of Warren Central and Julie Shelton of Mt. Vernon (Fortville) in District 2, and Kevin Moore of East Central and Taylor Sykes of Jeffersonville in District 3.

This poll will be released starting today (Nov. 2, 2025) and on Sundays throughout the 2025-26 Indiana high school girls’ basketball season. The final poll for the season will be on Feb. 1, 2026, the Sunday following the completion of regular-season games.

 IHSAA sectional games are scheduled Feb. 3-7, 2026.
