(11-9-25) Week 1 is in the books and Homestead holds on to the #1 spot in this week’s IBCA poll.

Homestead had 17 1st places, 2nd place Lawrence Central had 2 votes.

Warsaw,Pike and Hamilton Southeastern all had one 1st place vote.

Five of the Top 20 have already suffered loses during week one…#20 Lawrence North is at 0-2.

Below are results of the IBCA girls’ basketball poll for Week 1 of the the 2025-26 season (Nov. 9, 2025).

 The IBCA poll is a “non-class” poll, where teams are voted to a Top 20 regardless of school classification.

There are 22 panelists who vote for the poll — one voter each from the 16 regionals and six at-large voters (two each from IHSAA Districts 1, 2 and 3), including committee chairman Doug Springer of Northridge as a District 1 at-large voter.

            This poll will be released on Sundays throughout the 2025-26 Indiana high school girls’ basketball season. The final poll for the season will be on Feb. 1, 2026, the Sunday following the completion of regular-season games.

            IHSAA sectional games are scheduled Feb. 3-7, 2026.
