(1-20-26) They take basketball very serious in Kentucky. This past week has been one that two games have been over shadowed by altercations.
Last night in a Belfry-Prestonsburg game with 5:21 remaining in the 4th quarter an all-out brawl broke out after an inbound play. The Belfry bench became involved…as the video appeared to show after contact a Prestonsburg player would appear to throw the first punch.

At the time of the incident Belfry was up 51-41, the Pirates would hold on to win after the game resumed 67-66.
Belfry improved their record to 12-5 and Prestonsburg dropped to 1-14.
Belfry’s next game is Thursday against Hurley, while Prestonsburg is scheduled to play Phelps tonight.
The following is a reply to a SSN email from Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Commissioner Commissioner Julian Tackett on the incident-
