(12-11-16) This week’s SSN National Girls Basketball Player of the Week is Homestead’s (Indiana) Karissa McLaughlin (5’8 Senior).

McLaughlin on Friday night scored 28 points in an 82-36 Homestead win over Ft. Wayne Bishop Dwenger, she followed that up with 25 points on Saturday in the Spartans’ 73-35 win over Greenfield Central to reach the 2,000 point mark in her career. McLaughlin, who is the all-time Homestead career leading scorer, now has 2,010 points and is 33rd on the all-time list in Indiana.  McLaughlin still has a chance to enter the Top 10, needing 411 more points.
