(2-7-17) Last night LaMelo Ball scored 92 points in Chino Hills’ 147-123 victory over Los Osos.
- FG – 37-61
- 2pt FG – 30-39
- 3pt FG – 7-22
Ball was dedicating the game to a young lady who is desperately in need of a heart transplant – #love4lexi.
Continue to pray for my precious Lexi. She has a long road ahead but it's looking positive. #love4lexi pic.twitter.com/7Xt3Xy5TFz

Chino Hills is nationally ranked, but Ball’s 92 points falls 60 points short of some other single scoring records.
In 1953 in Ohio, Dick Bogenrife had 120 points in a Sedalia Midway 137-46 win over Canaan, in Indiana in 1913, Herman ‘Suz’ Sayger had 113 points for Culver in a 154-10 win over Winamac.
According to Lucky’s Amazing Sports Lists, the all-time single-game scoring record is held by Burnsville’s (West Virgina) Danny Heater, he scored 135 points (53-70 FG, 29-41 FT, 32 Rebounds and 7 assists) in 1960 in a 173-43 win over Widen.
All of those records were set before the 3-point FG came into play.
