
Macy Montgomery will be a sophomore at Bellmont this year. Montgomery was a key part of the Indiana Magic Gold’s 3rd place finish recently at the PGF Softball Nationals 14-under Premier (B Bracket) tournament in Huntington Beach, California. One of the top pitchers in the Stateline area and Indiana, Montgomery went 4-0 with a save for her summer team.
Her stats for the tournament, 31 strikeouts in 23 innings, her wins came over the Texas Blaze, Oklahoma GameTime Stars (4-0), SoCal A’s (7-5) and Tampa Mustangs (11-7).

Montgomery had freshman year to remember leading Bellmont to the semi-state semifinals. For the she won won 15 games and struck out 225 batters in just 112.1 innings and a below 1.00 ERA of 0.44.
This season Montgomery threw a ‘Perfect’ Perfect game in a 10-0 6-inning win over conference rival DeKalb. Montgomery recorded 18 K’s for all 18 outs. On offense she had 1 hit, 2 RBIs and scored 2 runs.
