St. Henry 12th After 1st Day At State, Schmitmeyer Shoots A 73

(10-13-17) The first day of the OHSAA D II Girls State Golf Tournament at the OSU Gray Course is in the books.

St. Henry after the 1st day stands at 12th with a team score of 380, the 1st round leader is Independence who shot a round of 320 (+40).

Independence also has the 1st place individual, Sophia Trombetta who shot a 2-under 68. St. Marys Jill Schmitmeyer sits in 4th place at a 3-over 73.

Ellen Naumann led the way for the Redskins as she shot a 85.

The tournament will conclude Saturday morning.
