(10-13-17) – Kimberly (9-0) put the ‘cherry on the top of the sundae‘ picking up their 65th consecutive win in a row beating Appleton East 41-7 and winning their 5th consecutive conference championship in the process. The win was never in doubt as the Papermakers jumped out in front early and never looked back, scoring 35 of their 41 points in the 1st half.

Friday (20th) they will start the WIAA state football playoffs against Milwaukee Riverside University / Golda Meir at Kimberly and the chance to defend their state title, again.

In Alaska, the Soldotna Stars picked up their 59th consecutive win in a row beating Palmer 21-0 and claiming their 6th Straight State Championship.
The Stars never trailed, but the Moose stayed closed, A big interception returned by Cody Quellan late in the 4th quarter would seal thw in, keeping the streak alive and adding a sixth straight state title.

In a nail-biter, Wagoner’s Blake Dumond kicked a 27-yard field goal as time expired to help the Bulldogs win their 44th game in a row in a 24-21 win over Oologah.
Oologah had an 11-0 lead in the 3rd quarter but couldn’t hang on for the win, it was the Mustangs 1st loss of the season. Oologah has lost the last three Class 4A state championship games to Wagoner.

Clemson bound QB Trevor Lawrence had another big night, in the 1st half he was 15 for 19 for 285 yards and 4 TDs. Rico Frye 3 rushing TD, Terry Berdin added another on the ground and TJ Horton was on the end of 2 receiving TD passes from Lawrence.
