(11-5-17) Today the OHSAA officially released the games sites for the Regional football playoff semifinals.

In D VI Region 24, #1 seed LCC will play #4 Coldwater at Harmon Field in Wapakoneta and #2 Marion Local will play #3 Spencerville in Piqua at Alexander Stadium.

The winners will play each other the following week in the Regional Finals, with the possibility of a Marion Local-Coldwater rematch. On September 8th the Flyers beat the Cavs 13-7. Marion Local has the longest winning streak in Ohio with 23 consecutive wins in a row.

LCC’s only loss of the season was to MAC member Delphos St. John’s 34-10 on September 2nd, they also opened the season with a 36-21 win over Spencerville. The Bearcats only only other loss was to Parkway 14-13, it was the Panthers only win in 2017. As a comparison,  Coldwater beat Parkway and lost to St. John’s, while Marion Local beat both St. John’s and Parkway.

Regional FB Semifinals

In D VII, Minster will take on Crestview at Lima Stadium, while St. John’s will play Lehman Catholic at Allen East. On September 8th, Minster beat St. John’s 41-14.
