(1-6-18) Despite the winter weather outside, it turned out to be a good day for a swim meet inside at the Barry Weaver Natatorium in Portland, Indiana. 16 girls and 13 boys teams competed in the Jay County (Indiana) Invitational. Jay County picked up the girls title slipping by Celina 406.5-371.5, while Ft. Recovery came in with a strong 4th place finish. Coldwater finished 9th, St. Henry 14th and Marion Local 15th.

Since the MAC does not sponsor a conference championship, with seven MAC schools competing, Ft. Recovery might have won a title this year based on these results.

In the boys meet Oak Hill (Indiana) easily won the meet scoring 481.5 points, beating out runner-up Bluffton (Indiana) who was 131.5 points behind.
The host, Jay County, was 4th with 261 points, Celina was 9th with 102 points, Marion Local was 10th with 77 points, Coldwater finished 11th and Ft. Recovery was 13th.
Just like the girls the MAC does not sponsor a conference championship, with six MAC schools competing, Versailles might have won a MAC title this year based on these results.
